Dawn Wilson, the author of a short story collection released by Carraway Bay Press, will be presenting a FREE seminar for aspiring teen writers on Saturday, Sept 11. This event will be held at the Highlands Civic Center from 2 to 2:45 p.m.

This is a part of the first annual Highlands Celebration of the Book Festival, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dawn will also be selling copies of her earlier paperback titles, Saint Jude and Leaving the Comfort Cafe.

Carraway Bay Press will announce its first release, Welcome to Shangri-La, North Carolina, a collection of short stories by Dawn DeAnna Wilson.

One of the stories in this selection,"The Shangri-La Chamber of Commerce Welcomes You," was a semi-finalist for the Doris Betts Fiction Prize.



The book will first be available in electronic formats via the Kindle application platform, with the release of print editions TBA.
